On Sunday 9th March, 2025, history was made as HRM Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, Okyenhene, led a solemn and dignified 60th Anniversary Remembrance Service at the Ebenezer Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Kyebi, in honour of the illustrious Dr. Joseph Boakye Danquah.
The occasion was graced with the launch of a seminal work, A Compendium of 60 Commemorative Statements, a profound tribute capturing the reflections of statesmen, scholars, and institutions on the enduring legacy of this towering figure in Ghanaian history.
This historic book was officially unveiled by H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former President of the Republic of Ghana, himself a champion of the ideals espoused by Dr. Danquah.
The event drew a distinguished assembly of party stalwarts, Nananom, the J. B. Danquah family, and institutions of consequence, including the Ghana Bar Association and the Danquah Institute.
Also in attendance were contributors to this monumental compendium, whose words have immortalized the indelible contributions of Dr. Danquah to Ghana’s democratic and intellectual heritage. It was an occasion of reflection, celebration, and reaffirmation—one that ensured that the ideals and sacrifices of Dr. J. B. Danquah remain an undying torch in the annals of our nation’s history.
