The Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, has been crying more than the bereaved over what happened in Parliament on Thursday morning.
Uncle Kwesi Pratt Jnr is mortally wounded and appears to be crimson with rage over the failure of NDC MPs to disqualify three nominees of President Akufo-Addo.
Pratt on his Pan African TV show bared his teeth to the opposition MPs for approving what he says are ‘incompetent’ nominees.
Mr. Pratt sees the event as disgraceful, shameful and embarrassing. He believes that the NDC has stabbed itself in the eye as it has delivered a fatal blow to itself.
He describes the NDC MPs as selfish, ungrateful and misguided. In his view, the confidence of the rank and file of the party has been shattered.
He is advocating a total rejection of these NDC MPs during their primaries since they do not care about the party’s grassroots.
What still holds me dumbfounded is what Mr. Pratt said about these same MPs not long ago.
During the selection of the Speaker of Parliament, the NDC MPs prevailed in getting Rt. Hon. Speaker Alban Sumana Bagbin elected.
This feat met the happy agreement of Mr. Pratt who went on air to praise them for a masterstroke execution of getting Bagbin elected as Speaker.
Pratt also said with their current numbers, the NPP would be suffocating in government. The same person is calling for their heads today simply because the MPs pursued their duties nationalistically and not based on some flimsy partisan considerations. Pratt loves NDC more than he even loves Nkrumah.
He is pained to the bone marrow over the failure of the NDC MPs to do what he wanted them to do. Pratt is unhappy!
