The meeting provided an opportunity for Ambassador Tong Defa to formally introduce himself and express his commitment to fostering the strong ties between the two nations. During their discussions, Mr. Jinapor praised China’s role as a dependable partner to Ghana, recalling the mutual benefits both countries have enjoyed since Ghana’s independence. He emphasized that the Chinese Ambassador’s visit reflects China’s ongoing dedication to collaborating with Ghana on managing natural resources in a manner that respects local laws and prioritizes environmental sustainability.

He added, “We look forward to ensuring that China’s involvement in our natural resource management aligns with Ghanaian laws and sustainability practices.”

Ambassador Tong Defa, outlining the purpose of his visit, highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Ghana and China in various sectors. He expressed his intention to build on the foundations laid by his predecessors to further enhance the relationship for mutual benefit.
