Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has acknowledged the formidable challenge his team faces as they prepare to meet FC Samartex this weekend.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to go head-to-head with last season’s league champions on Sunday, October 20, in what will be a crucial Week 7 match. Ahead of the encounter, Coach Ogum has emphasized that Asante Kotoko must be at their absolute best if they hope to secure victory.
Ogum is particularly cautious about the strengths of FC Samartex, especially their tactical organization and playing style. “Samartex is a strong, well-structured team. Their formation on the field shows that they are disciplined and have a clear style of play. They’re a good side,” Coach Ogum stated.
Despite the tough competition, the Kotoko coach expressed confidence in his squad, stressing the importance of determination and self-belief. “We need to be confident, focused, and composed. Playing at home, we’ll have the fans behind us, which will be a huge boost. The players must trust that we can do it. I’m confident we can deliver,” Ogum added.
The match between Asante Kotoko and FC Samartex will kick off at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
