ST Mark Lifts 2022 Inter-Houses Football Competition

The 2022 inter-houses football competition of Opoku Ware School came off with the usual healthy but fierce rivalry among the players who played their hearts out but the gallant and skillful players of St Mark House carried the day as they pipped St Thomas by a solitary goal to win the coveted ‘fresh’ trophy.

At the packed to capacity famous OWASS SPORTS COMPLEX, the lads showed resilience as all the teams from the 11 Houses, put up a good fight.

What made this year’s competition more fierce was the fact that a virgin trophy was at stake and every House wanted to go down in the record books to be the first team to have lifted the trophy.

The trophy was donated by Okatakyie Kwabena Ampofo Appiah (AQ 83) aka Vyrus an old student of OWASS and the Managing Director of State Housing Company Limited.

Perhaps, the St Mark Boys knowing Vyrus was at St Mark during his days at OWASS were spurred on to win the trophy to gain the bragging rights.

The competition heralds the celebration of the Platinum Anniversary(70th) of OWASS which would be climaxed this weekend.
