The Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Richard Nyamah has stated that the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has no solid evidence to claim that the election was flawed or that the results were rigged.

After, Electoral Commission Chairperson, Madam Jean Mensa declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as winner of the presidential election, the NDC has refused to accept the results amidst several protests from their supporters all over the country.

There have been reports of demonstrations by NDC supporters at Techiman, Bolgatanga, Accra, Kumasi, and Tamale.

Thus, speaking to Accra based Citi TV, Mr. Nyamah said the NPP will gladly volunteer to provide the NDC supporters with  food and drinks to aid them in their protests for the next 4 years.

“We can give them protection, we can even give them food to eat and get energy. I am telling you they are finished,” he said.

Richard Nyamah also mentioned that the NDC’s claim that the election was rigged are all empty with no real proof to back their case at the Supreme Court.

“They are only blowing hot air. There is nothing that Ex-president Mahama can do today to come back as president. Whether he likes it or not he will stay in opposition for another 4 years. So far they have not given us an iota of evidence, saying they are now going to do a forensic audit.”

According to Richard’s analysis, Mahama by rejecting the EC’s declaration is just trying to gain some sympathy in the eyes of his party members for his reelection as flag bearer in 2024.

Ex-president Mahama is positioning himself to become the automatic leader of the NDC in 2024. The claims ‘election was stolen’, ‘John Mahama won’ has been imprinted in the minds of the supporters. So, why will anyone want to contest him and this is what they are trying to do,” he emphasized.
