Editor-in-chief of the popular The New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul-Malik Kweku Baako, has served notice that he would today Wednesday strip Sammy Gyamfi and the NDC naked over lies they claim he Mr. Baako had peddled.

A close confidante of Mr. Baako told ABCLIVE, the ace journalist “will be responding to Sammy Gyamfi’s rebuttal on Kokrokoo! He will lay bare all the facts pertaining to the issues he raised for which reason he (Sammy Gyamfi) has labelled him a liar. Trust Bombay to provide further and better particulars to make his case”.

It would be recalled that, the Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, in a panel discussion on Peace FM’s flagship programme, Kokrokoo, emphasized that Mr. Mahama was seeking to make a monster of the same phenomenon he benefited immensely from.

“My checks indicate that that particular sod cutting was needless. It had no real foundation because it’s true Parliamentary approval for that particular loan facility had been effected but there were conditions precedent which were laid out that without that the agreements will not come into force. Some were value for money audit and others were that he should sign the loan agreement before they can proceed with the construction. At the time he cut the sod, the financing agreements had not been signed. Indeed, these things were done in 2018″

He continued, “My own checks and documentations I have accessed, point to the fact that the first sod cutting was for purely electoral purposes. Oh yes! It was completely baseless. There was no basis for it; no foundation for it but they did cut the sod on 5th December 2016…It was totally unnecessary but it was done for as I said electoral purposes”, he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.

The National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi, at a press conference, stated that what Mr. Baako said were a figment of his own imagination as the then President Mahama did not engage in any election winning sod-cutting spree.

The desperate attempt by Mr. Abdul Malik Kweku Baako and other government spokespersons to parry this important issue and create the false impression that President Mahama is equally guilty of the practice of fake sod-cutting ceremonies should be dismissed and roundly condemned, Mr. Gyamfi said in a statement.

Mr. Baako still insists that the NDC has no right to criticize the NPP since Mahama did same without knowing how to fund the projects and he will respond to the NDC and their Communications Officer on Wednesday, 23rd September, 2020, on Kokrokoo on Peace Fm.
