Football is not the only industry that employees are poorly paid in Ghana. There are sectors that equally have the capacity to place Ghana on the world map and rake in good money but staff are poorly paid. The number of young people wishing to go into music and can put Ghana on the world stage is huge. We should pay all of them too free GHC1,500 govt money every month. Check how much the music industry makes globally. The number of young people who are into acting of movies are huge. Pay them same amount every month. Check the amount movies rake in globally. I can name plenty of such areas that can equally put Ghana on the world map and rake in similar revenues.

Let’s pay all the people in those sectors free GHC1,500 a month too. How much is the Ghanaian teacher, nurse, public servant and all public sector workers who sweat for a month paid for footballers are employees of private football clubs to be given GHC1,500 free govt money every month? Pay them too GHC1,500 free govt money every month.

Boxing Legend Professor Azumah Nelson Nelson single handedly put Ghana on the world map for 10 continuous years. Why are we not paying all boxers in Ghana too GHC1,500 free govt money every month?. Data provided by the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) shows that as at February 2019, 1.5 million People contribute to the scheme.

This number includes all public sector workers and private sector employees. Out of this, 50% representing 750,000 people earn GHC1,000 or less a month. According to the data, 25% of the contributors earn GHC400 or less. It means that 750,000 people representing half of all contributors including those working for the govt earn less than the GHC1,500 free money govt intends to give to footballers who play for clubs-Limited liability companies for free.

The footballers will receive this amount in addition to what their clubs pay them. If this makes sense, then we should argue that all Ghanaians who earn less than GHC1,500 whether they work for the govt or private companies also deserve the free GHC1,500 govt money every month.
