I am Irene Ponu-Brenyah, the first granddaughter of the late chief SD Dombo U/P Tradition.
Four years ago I supported Kingsley, who was vying for the post of NPP UK 2nd Vice Chairman. Fortunately, he won and I must say he hasn’t disappointed. In fact, he has proved to me that I certainly didn’t back ‘the wrong horse’. He has worked very hard to promote the interest of the NPP UK Branch and the party as a whole, both here and in Ghana. Prior to election 2020, Kingsley travelled to Ghana and went to many Constituencies and campaigned massively for the party in order to achieve the ‘4More 4 Nana’. He also went on radio to highlight the policies and infrastructure the NPP government had put in place within four years. Among such radio stations are Wntumi and Net2 TV, where he displayed his affable communication skills and contributed to victory 2020.
It’s worthy to point out that Kingsley returned to the UK shortly after the Party won our second term. While many of the Branch Executive members stayed in Ghana, Kingsley returned to partially fill the vacuum created due to the mass exodus of members and executives.
Early last year, 2021, President Akufo Addo was invited to give a lecture at Oxford University. When the President arrived at the venue, Kingsley received and escorted His Excellency since both the Chairman and the 1st Vice Chairman we’re in Ghana respectively. Thus, he not only uplifted the moral of the NPP UK members who went to support our President but also honoured the latter.
Kingsley’s loyalty, dedication, humility, honesty, love and respect for all is unquestionable. He is also a unifier and approachable. I strongly believe that we need an NPP UK Chairman with integrity and maturity, whose qualities include above, to lead a unified branch to help ‘break the 8’.
We all have witnessed Kingsley’s hard work within the past four years in the current NPP UK administration. When it comes to attending funerals to console and mourn with the bereaved in any Chapter, Kingsley is readily available. Party members with personal issues can confidently rely on him to help resolve them. It’s therefore no exaggeration to say that he is the right person to be the next Branch Chairman.
I humbly appeal to all members to vote massively for Kingsley Adumattah Agyapong as the next NPP UK Chairman, so we can ‘break the 8’.
Kukruduu, Kukruduu, Kukruduu!!!
