President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed strong confidence in Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s readiness to take on the mantle of Ghana’s presidency.
During a meeting with members of Organised Labour on Tuesday, December 3, the president underscored that Dr. Bawumia has amassed extensive experience and knowledge over the past seven years, making him well-equipped to guide the country toward greater development.
President Akufo-Addo emphasized that electing Dr. Bawumia would ensure continuity in Ghana’s progress and transformation.
“I am absolutely certain that my vice president, who worked with me for eight years in opposition and had a solid foundation as a Deputy Governor at the Bank of Ghana before joining politics, is fully prepared to lead. With eight years of service in opposition and another eight years in government, he has acquired the skills and expertise necessary to assume the presidency today,” Akufo-Addo stated.
He concluded by urging voters to make a decisive choice during the upcoming election. “When you head to the polls on Saturday, take a closer look at the elephant,” he appealed, referencing the symbol of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
