The Member of Parliament for Tano South, Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere, has entreated the chiefs and people of the Bechem Traditional Council to ensure that they join hands with government in developing Bechem in particular and Tano South in general.
At the Inauguration of the Bechem Development Committee, the Member of Parliament for the area who was also the guest of honour took his time to enumerate the number of completed and ongoing projects the Akufo-Addo administration has undertaken within the last four years, much to the admiration of Nananom.
He also urged Nananom not to rest on their laurels in ensuring that “While government is keenly and seriously developing Bechem, Nananom must also contribute their quota since development is a shared responsibility” he emphasized.
To him, though as the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive are doing all within their might to lobby for many projects to come to the town and the Municipality, Nananom can also complement their efforts by going to the ministries and other agencies to ensure that these projects are speedily executed.
Hon. Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere who was invited as guest of honour was accompanied by his Municipal Chief Executive, Collins Offinam-Takyi.
The eleven member committe inaugurated was tasked to work hard to ensure development in Bechem and its environs.
Nana Fosu Gyeabuor II and his Elders, the Christian Council, Muslim Council, the Association of Market Women amongst others were all present at the inauguration.
