Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca and Cole Palmer have both snagged Premier League honors for their outstanding performances in September.
Maresca was honored as Manager of the Month after steering the Blues to victories over Bournemouth, West Ham, and Brighton, following a 1-1 stalemate with Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, Palmer was recognized as the Premier League’s Player of the Month, showcasing an impressive month with an assist and five goals. His highlight came during a thrilling 4-2 victory against Brighton, where he scored four times.
Maresca is the first Chelsea manager to receive the Manager of the Month accolade since Thomas Tuchel in October 2021.
This marks Palmer’s second Player of the Month award in 2024, as he had already been acknowledged for his exceptional play in April.
Upon receiving his award, Maresca credited his coaching staff for their support. “We had a fantastic month,” said the former Leicester boss. “We rely on those around us to enhance our performance, and I’m very thankful for their contributions.”
Palmer accepted his September Player of the Month award while representing England on international duty. This recognition follows his recent honor as England Men’s Player of the Year, making it a remarkable week for the young star.
