On Friday 6th December, as part of the its Christmas initiative to sharing and caring BCM Group donated medical supplies to the Korle-Bu children’s ward unitand essential consumables to the Osu Children’s Home with sincere compassion for the children in need.
The day began with a meaningful visit to the Children’s Unit of Korle-Bu Hospital, where the team arrived with the carefully prepared donations, and their spirits lifted by the opportunity to make a difference in young lives.
The team’s arrival at the hospital was met with anticipation and warmth by the children and the hospitalstaff. The medical supplies and Christmas presents were exactly what the hospital team needed to bring comfort, joy, and practical support to these childrenfacing challenging health circumstances. This is not the first time BCM has donated to the Korle-Bu teaching hospital and the company is committed to ensure continuous contribution. The medical staff warmly welcomed BCM’s representatives, recognizing that these contributions, endorsed by the Executive Chairman, Mr. Paul List, reflect not only material support but also his deep commitment to religious and humanitarian values.
Following the hospital visit, the team proceeded to the Osu Children’s Home, continuing their mission of spreading kindness and support.
What made this day truly special was not just the physical donations, but the human connection established between BCM’s team and the children they were supporting. Each interaction was a testament to the company’s core values of community engagement and social responsibility. The team didn’t simply drop off donations; they spent time interacting, listening, and creating moments of genuine human connection that can often mean more than material support.
The spirit of the Christmas season was palpable throughout these visits, embodying the true essence of giving.
BCM is a global civil earthworks and surface mining contractor based in Ghana. Founded in the 1950s, starting out in Western Australia and established in Ghana since the 1990s, it has extensive history of working on projects in Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East. Its focus is on surface mining operations, bulk earthworks and civil works for mine site infrastructures.
By stepping beyond the confines of the office and corporate environment, BCM showcased a leadership model that prioritizes community welfare. We hope that our actions send a powerful message that businesses can and should play an active role in supporting vulnerable segment of the populations. BCM’s commitment to giving back reflects a broader understanding that true success is not just about financial achievements, but about the positive impact an organization can create in society.
We would also like to give a special thanks to Santa Claus and his Elves who took time out of their busy schedule to help facilitate this wonderful day. It must mean only one thing, BCM and Paul List are clearly on the good list.
