ABC News Holds Economic Symposium in Koforidua

ABC News organizes another economic symposium slated for Tuesday, 5th November 2024 at the Koforidua Technical University. The symposium which starts at 10 o’clock in the morning, looks at some key issues about the economy as the country goes into the 2024 elections.

Key amongst topics to be discussed are recent questions put to the presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, by the presidential candidate for the opposition NDC, John Dramani Mahama. 

Speakers and resource persons will also look at the feasibility of some proposed policies and programs by the two leading contenders in their respective manifestoes for the December elections.

The Speakers and resource persons for the symposium are Dr. George Domfe, a Development Economist, Senior Research Fellow, Centre for Social Policy Studies, University of Ghana, Professor Isaac Boadi, Dean, Faculty of Accounting and Finance, UPSA, Dr. Frank Bannor, Development Economist, Lecturer, GIMPA and Head of Research, Danquah Institute.

Professor William Gyadu-Asiedu, Lecturer and Director of Works and Physical Development, Koforidua Technical University, and a few other academics will also feature as speakers/resource persons.

The Guest of Honour is the Honourable Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong. The Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Michael Okyere Baafi, is the host Member of Parliament.

Gordon Asare-Bediako, the Managing Editor of ABCNewsand ABC Newspaper, will be the Moderator for the program. The Daily Statesman, New Crusading Guide, ABCNews, Inquisitor, Daily Dispatch, Inquirer, Newsday, MyAbcLiveare the media partners for the program. The program will also be broadcasted live on ABCNews’ social media platforms.
